Here is another card we did during our Technique class a few weeks ago. We used the Baby Wipe Technique to color the solid butterfly that we punched out and added to our card.
This is a fun technique. It uses Stampin' Up! reinkers and baby wipes. Take 2 or 3 baby wipes and lay them on a plastic coated plate (mostly so you protect your work surface from the baby wipes) to form a pad. Drop a few drops of reinker – color combination can be anyone you like – we used Almost Ameythst, Pretty in Pink, and Bashful Blue for this sample – onto the baby wipes.
Then take your solid stamp and use the colored baby wipe as your ink pad and ink your stamp – stamp your cardstock. It gives such a nice soft effect to the image.
The smaller butterflies were not stamped using the baby wipes but instead we used the ink pads.
I will post the last card we created tomorrow – come back to see!
