WOW –

In February I entered a Stampin' Up! contest for Demonstrators.  They run them each month and I never really thought much about entering one.  There are a few different categories you can enter.  Well I had been playing with my Big Shot – I just love this stamping and scrapbooking tool – and created a few things.  I always show my creations to my family.  They have been very supportive of my stamping business so I like to show them what I have been stamping.
Well when I showed them this particular card I created with a twist – they just seemed to make a fuss  about it. I thought – maybe I would send it to SU.  Not thinking to enter it in their contest.  I just never gave the contests much thought.  But on that day I received my Stampin' Success (SU sends Demonstrators this magazine every month – full of ideas, samples, business tips, and the winners and their projects of these contests) and as I was thumbing through it I came accross the contest winners and their projects and thought – Maybe I should send this card in.

With my families encouragement I popped (after taking a few pictures of it) it in the mail and forgot about it.

This week I got the nicest email from SU letting me know they picked my card as the winner of the WOW contest for March 2009!!!!!!!  They picked my card.  I am so honored.  They liked it.

Although I can not show you the card yet – it will be featured in the May 2009 Stampin' Success.  After it is published I will be able to post it for you to see. 

I am so excited.  This is the second time a card I created was selected. 

The first one was in August 2007 and it was a card I created for Posh Impressions a stamp company owned by Dee Gruenig.  They published that card on their website with its directions.  You will see it in a post on my blog dated August 18, 2007.  I don't enter many contests or submit my creations for publication.  I have thought about submitting things for publication but just never seem to it.
