I was able to sit and stamp yesterday and got out my Country Living Holiday Collection Kit. I was a little worried that I was not going to like the kit.
When I sat and opened my kit - I was WOW'd by all you get in the kit. Is wow'd a word? If it is not it should be. Included in the kit:
- Holiday Collection stamp set (six stamps)
- Four 12" x 12" sheets of die-cut chipboard
- Eight 12" x 12" sheets of die-cut Designer Series paper (2 ea. of 4 double-sided designs)
- Four 12" x 12" sheets of Designer Series paper (2 ea. of 2 double-sided designs)
- Two 12" x 12" sheets of Whisper White card stock
- 25 yds. Silver Metallic cord
- 10 yds. 3/8" Whisper White taffeta ribbon
- Pretties Kit brads (20)
- Stampin' Dimensionals
- Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter (1/2 oz.)
- Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive
- Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Spot
- Old Olive Craft Stampin' Spot
- Uninked Stampin' Spot
- Whisper White Craft Ink refill
I mounted my stamp set and was of to some fun creating. I had a great time creating ornaments with the kit.
Above is a large snowflake. I adhered the Designer Series Paper to the chip board snowflake with the Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive (all included in the set).
The picture below is the reverse side of the snowflake. I stamped Whisper White craft ink on to the chipboard then applied Dazzling Diamonds on it before it dried. It just sparkles. The picture just doesn't do it justice.
I just love this Holiday Collection. I am not sure why I didn't think I would like it – it is fun and easy to use and everything you need to make beautiful ornaments and cards. I am even thinking I could use some of it for Holiday Scrapbook pages.
Did I mention I just love this Holiday Collection Kit!
Above are two more ornaments I whipped up in no time! The Felt Flurries Snowflakes are from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
I was thinking that I am going to make an ornament for everyone in my family this Christmas. We have a tradition each Christmas to have a Fish Dinner at my parents were we all gather. Santa Claus comes and all the children get presents. We have done this for over 40 years – possible longer than I have been alive I am sure. I was thinking of making all these ornaments (I am one of 8 kids, spouses, and 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren) and not telling anyone. I would sneak in and hang them on the tree and just wait to see if anyone notices.
There are so much included in the set I am sure I will have enough – but if not because of my large family – I will cut my own chipboard and designer series paper.
I am so excited about this project. I can't wait to start collecting pictures and getting started. I am hoping to use pictures I have from over the years. So not all pictures will be current. I think that will be fun!
Above is a smaller Snowflake done the same way as the larger one above.
These two photos above are the large snowflake with a smaller one adhered on top. For the smaller snowflake on top I inked the chipboard with the Riding Hood Red classic ink then applied the Tombow Multi purpose adhesive and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds. I used a Pop Dot to adhere it to the large snowflake – but had to apply a little Tombow Multi Purpose adhesive to the dot. I wanted to make sure it stuck.
This last photo is the card I created using the supplies in the set. The Old Olive card stock was not included in the set. I used the snowflake from the stamp set included and the sentiment. The crystal brad was included is included in the set. The scallop punch is not in the kit.
I hope you liked all the projects I created as much as I liked making them.

Beautiful job Annette! I absolutely love the card and think I may use it as a jumping off point for my own CL projects since I haven’t been motivated enough to do some on my own!
Many Blessings,
M.
