Hi Everyone ~
Happy Friday. I am really looking forward to the weekend and having some time to finish up my Scallop Rag Purse. I will be posting the finishing pictures soon. Don't forget to check back.
Do you save up all your scrap card stock and Designer Series Paper only to look and it and really not know what to do with it all?
It really accumulates doesn't it. I believe mine multiplies while I am sleeping! I have so much of it. I decided to start using it on a regular basis and as I do I will show you what I have created with it.
Today I would like to show you what I have been doing with some of my Scraps of Designer Series Paper.
I call these my scrappy cards ~
I created these all the same way. I just changed up the color of DSP I used. The all started with a Whisper White Card front. I cut my 8-1/2" x 11" WW card stock into to pieces that measure 4-1/4" x 11" and then scored in it in the center at 5-1/2".
I took 2 or 3 piece of Coordinating Designer Series paper in two different colors and began tearing them into even smaller strips. Then with my snail adhesive I layered them from bottom to top on my card front and trimmed the sides when I got to the last piece.
I used the sizzlets – Lots of tags to great my tag base for my sentiment. Then finished it off by tying coordinating ribbon (scraps) to the tag and sponging on a little color around it. I use dimensionals to adhere the sentiment tags.
Here are a few more I created ~
These were simple and fun to create. And actually did not really use up a ton of DSP. You don't need full sheets to do this and you can use more than two colors on a card.
Stay tuned for more ideas for your Scrap Paper!
