Hi Everyone –
Thank all of you who emailed me privately with your stories about sending your children off to college! I so appreciate all your kind words and words of wisdom. Matt is a great kid (does every mother say that?) and I know he is really enjoying his school and did well with his studies last semester. We are seeing such growth in him. He is really coming into his own and we are so proud of the young adult he is. But I know he has much more growing to do.
Now to some stamping stuff! That is really why you visit my blog isn't it?
Many of you receive my newsletters each month and this next project is straight from my January Newsletter.
It is the Candy Heart Box. I decorated this one differently – starting with the color of card stock I created the heart box with.
Ingredients:
Paper ~
Pretty in Pink card stock
Sending Love Specialty paper
Accessories:
5/8" Satin Ribbon – Pretty in Pink
Sweet Pea Stitched Felt
Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon
*Pattern for Heart Box – in my January 2010 Newsletter
Piece of copy paper to print pattern on
Once you print and cut out your heart box pattern trace it on your card stock and cut out. Score along the score lines to create your box.
Adhere the tab with sticky strip or your favorite adhesive.
Decorate as you wish. I added gold brads to the sides and attach the 3/8" taffeta ribbon to the to create the handle.
Fill your Heart Box with your favorite treats. I love Hersey Kisses – that is what I filled this one with.
This box is easy to make using the pattern and you can make it as fancy or as plain as you like. I will continue to show you the others that I make as I create them!
I will be making quite a few of these over the next 2 weeks to give out to friends and family with their favorite treats in them!
