Hi Everyone,
Happy Monday – it is a simply beautiful day – the sun is shinning and a new week has begun!
Brrr… I hope everyone who got all that snow this weekend is okay. Hopefully byou are all shoveled out by now. We actually escaped the snow storm on Saturday but as I was watching the news it looks like we might not be so lucky on Wednesday. Seems they are predicting a storm coming our way late Tuesday night.
The Wicked Wind we have been getting is just seeping through our walls keeping our home so cold!!!! Our walls are well insulated but I guess this old house is not a match for Wind.
Ok back to why I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. When you join you become part of a Stampin' Family. Not only are you a part of Stampin' Up! and all that is good but you become part of a smaller stamping family.
You sign up as a demonstrator under a demonstrator and instantly become part of her Stampin' Family. She becomes your Up-Line and you gain Up Up lines, side lines, and downlines. These are all demonstators that make up your Stampin' Family.
This Stampin' Family becomes your support team. They are stampers that you will meet with, share ideas, business tips, advice and have fun stamping with. You develop such wonderful friendships with these stamping demonstrators.
My Stampin' Family loves to get together to stamp and share ideas that we can bring to our customers. Last week a member of our group hosted what we call a Shoe Box Swap.
Shoe Box Swaps are where each demonstrator designs a card, makes a sample, and cuts all the pieces needed for the card then puts it in a shoe box along with all the embellishments needed to create that card.
Then we get together and work our way around the table making each card! As we stamp we chat and catch up. It is wonderful. We learn new techniques, try new tools, and just enjoy our time together. Everyone needs a night out! Don't you think?
Today I will begin to show you some of the cards we created last week.
Below is the card I designed for everyone to create ~
It is an easel card. I am sure you have seen them all over the internet by now. I had not tried one before this one. This was my first! What do you think?
This card was created using one of my favorite new stamp sets – Vintage Vogue. It can be found in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.
The photo above is a side view of the card. I thought it might help you see how the easel card works.
If you would like to join my Stampin' Family please feel free to email me. I would love to answer any questions you might have. Whether you live near or far you are welcome to join my Stampin' Family. I would love to have you.
Now is a great time to start your own business.
