I had mentioned earlier that since May is National Scrapbook Month I was going to start scrapbooking a little every week.
I just completed a Custom Scrapbook for a customer ~ 42 ~ 12 x 12 pages! I am so happy that it is completed and they loved it.
It was a scrapbook for her son to highlight his Hockey Career as the High School Varsity Goalie. It spanned over his 4 year Career in High School.
He will graduate in June – Congratulations to you for a successful hockey career and for accomplishing so much in 4 years on and off the ice!
You get so much out of scrapbooking. I have to tell you – it is so rewarding in may ways.
*You get to relive all those memories again as you put your book together.
*You leave a legacy of memories for your children.
*By journaling they get to relive the memories hearing your thoughts.
*You leave a legacy for generations to come.
As I did the book ~ I told his mom I read all the articles she had given me to put into the book and I got so attached. I was so proud of him and his team. It felt like he was my own son. I have known this family for quite a while so I felt I could tell her that.
As I created the book I like to create 2 page layouts. Here is a layout were I used a "title" across the top of both pages. I created the letters using my Sizzix and just love the way it turned out.
I used brads in one of the colors of the team on some of the letters.
The background paper is blank and white cardstock that I stamped with Hockey players on it.
I used SU’s Going Grey on the white page and Whisper White on the black page.
I will continue to highlight pages from the book over the next couple of weeks.
If you have any questions about scrapbooking or just want some feedback shoot me an email or give me a call ~ I would love to help you out.
If you have never scrapbooked before ~ now is a great time to start. It may seem overwhelming as you may have years of photos – but you can break it down and do it in steps.
Again if you feel like you can not do it yourself – I can help. I am in Northern New Jersey and just a phone call away. I can guide you through it by email, phone calls, or whatever you like – maybe even a visit if you are close enough.
I look forward to hearing from you as you begin your journey into scrapbooking or you may have already started and in that case I would love to hear about your progress.
I will continue to post layouts from this album and ideas for others. Check back often!
Have a Stampin’ good day~
Annette
