Just fluttering by with a sneak peek…
I have been so limited with my stamping time lately it has been hard to complete some projects.
My
to do list is so long these days. I thought after the Holidays were
over I would have plenty of stamping time. Boy was I wrong. But I
have had some time to create and you won't want to miss this project I
have been working on.
If you think you can – leave me a comment!
Will be back later to post these projects – you won't want to miss them. They are so pretty.
I am back to tell you what it is…
Back in February I entered a Stampin' Up! WOW contest and my Wow card was picked.
Here is the first butterfly I created using Stampin' Up's Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (#114507 – $21.95).
I made a bunch of these Butterflies by first running my cardstock through the big shot using the Stampin' Up! Texturz plates – Backgrounds 1 (#114512 – $11.95).
I used the large dots on a few pieces of cardstock and the smaller dots on a few pieces cardstock. Then took these pieces and ran them through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Die.
Using the Pretties Kit (109114 – $29.95) and created the body of the butterfly with the stick pin and pearls. Attach a piece of wire to form the antennas.
I create quite a few butterflies. Not sure what I was going to do with them I decided to stick a piece of magnetic strip to the back using crystal effects – turning them into magnets!
They are great for the spring. But back to my WOW entry for Stampin' Up! – I had to figure out a way to incorporate this beautiful butterfly to a project.
Using a paperclip I created this card ~
I attached the butterfly to the ribbon using a paperclip so that the person getting the card would be able to easily remove the butterfly and use it.
Stampin' Up! thought it was a great idea and picked this card as their March WOW project! I was so honored. How cool is that.
Here is a second card I created - same idea using the Sale-a-bration Designer Series paper ~
Hope you have enjoy my butterflies!
I think these Butterfly cards would make great Mother's Day cards!
