Hi Everyone ~
I hope you are having gorgeous weather too. The weather has just been absolutely gorgeous. Monday morning and the sun is shinning ~ I couldn't have asked for a better way to start my week!
We had beautiful weather to drive Matt back to college yesterday. We had lunch/dinner at a really nice Italian Rest. on route 222 ~ Valentino's. If you are every travelling in PA on route 222 it's a great place to eat.
Matt just ended his winter break. He had the last week off. Three short weeks and he will be home again for Easter!! :) This first year of college is really flying by.
Now for some stamping samples ~
I have fallen in love with Vintage Vogue (item #117690~wood and item #118598~clear). It debute in the Occasions Mini and Stampin' Up! has let us know that this stamp set will be in the new Idea Book and Catalog!! Yeah.
Note that this stamp set is available in the traditional wood mount and the new clear mount. There is also a matching Jumbo Wheel ~ Very Vintage ~ item # 117693.
This card below I created for a speaker we were having at our Bible Study on Friday. We had a special lady in to give a seminar on Time Management. She did an awesome job and I learned a lot. Hopefully I will be applying many of the tips and things she showed us over the next couple of weeks. I think many of them will be extremely helpful for me.
I need a thank you card to give her and decided to use my favorite stamp set ~ Vintage Vogue ~
The flowers were stamped on Whisper White using Rose Red and Coral Cameo & the leaves are stamped in Garden Green & Certainly Celery. I cut them out and layered one inserting the 5'16" jumbo white brad. I applied them around the oval using glue dots.
The oval was created by using the Big Shot & the Ovals Die to use as a template to sponge the oval in Coral Cameo then Rose Red. I used the Rose Red Stampin' Marker to draw the broken line around the oval.
NOTE: Before I adhered the leaves and flowers I inserted my Coral Cameo marker into our Color Spritzer Tool and splattered the background. I love the way it softened up the Whisper White.
I also embossed the envelope flap ~ I like the added detail it gave.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card.
