Good Morning Stampers,
I hope this morning finds you all well. It has been a long time since I have posted here and I am sorry. This was a sad Fall for me. I lost 2 very dear Aunts who I grew up with. An Aunt on my dads side of the family and an Aunt on my moms. Each lived in the same town as me my whole life – even now as I still live in the town I grew up in. November and December were filled with a lot of sadness but also of some wonderful memories and visits with family.
I hope you all enjoyed creating memories this Christmas with your family and friends. It is my favorite time of the year.
This weekend we got our first snow of 2012! It came Friday night into Saturday and wasn't too bad as far as snow storms go. Only about 4 inches – and very light powdery snow! Is that a word? ~ powdery?
Anyhoot it put me in the mood for a project I had wanted to do before Christmas. I wanted to create vinyl snow flakes to decorate my windows.
Stampin' Up! sells Decor Element Sheets (vinyl sheets) for the Big Shot. These sheets can be found on page # 216 of the Idea Book and Catalog.
CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO VIEW THEM
Here is what I created for my windows this weekend ~
Using the Orignals Die Snowflake #2 (item # 113460)
I created 8 Snowflakes for this back door. As you can see I cut one so that it was in 2 window frames!
I know they are a little hard to see in these photos.
Here is a shot of a few of them with a dark blanket behind the window.
THis project was fun and easy to create.
I hope you give the Decore Element Sheets a try.
Don't forget Valentine's Day is just a few week away.
Hearts would look so cute windows and doors!
Order your supplies today ~
Happy Stamping ~

Hi Annette!
I felt so sad for you as I read your post. I do hope you are finding memories are a comfort and that time will heal! (It does … even though it seems impossible.) I lost my dad in June … and it is getting easier. BUT … a warning … I went to see “The Descendents” with two of my girls today. George’s wife is in a coma (you find that out really early in the movie … so I am not giving anything away.) But … I sat through the movie … reliving our experiences with my dad. I was crying more for that … than for the sadness in the movie! Sorry … that was a downer … lets think of brighter things …like your wonderful snowflakes. I have vinyl window stickers for Christmas (purchased) … but I have never thought it would be possible to make them on the Big Shot! Well done! Fabbo idea! Now … all we need here in AUS is a snowflake die! Hugs xxx
