Watercoloring…

While I have been enjoying family and friends this past week I haven't posted much here.  It is not because I have forgotten you or lost my love of stamping – but rather I needed the time to relax and enjoy my family.  I hope you are doing the same. 

I wanted to share with you Watercoloring today as I have used it on many cards throughout 2008.  Check out this post – Are you Big on Christmas (scroll down to the post dated-November 13th).  I have used the blender pens and SU ink to color the stamped image.  I just love the results of this technique and thought you might too.

Technique:  Watercoloring
This is a fun technique to do that gives such an
artistic look.  I love how easy it is to color stamped
images using blender pens and Stampin' Up! inks.

Follow the directions below for great results.

A]   Dip the tip of a blender pen on to the corner of a Stampin' Pastel, then apply to the stamped image.

OR  

B]   Brush the tip of a blender pen, Aqua Painter, or wet watercolor
brush directly on the tip of a Watercolor Wonder crayon, then apply
color to the stamped image.

OR

C]   Outline a section of the stamped image with a Watercolor Wonder
Crayon or Watercolor Pencil, then use a blender pen, Aqua Painter, or
wet watercolor brush to pull color where desired.

OR

D]   Press the closed lid of a Classic Stampin' Pad down against the
ink pad, creating a small pool of color in the lid; then open the lid.
Use a blender pen, an Aqua Painter, or a damp watercolor brush to lift
the ink from the lid and apply to the stamped image.
