Hi Everyone –
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Most people here in the northeast had a long weekend because of the snow. I totally enjoyed it too! I got a chance to catch up on some chores I had to do. I didn't get much of a chance to stamp 🙁
Today I have spent most of the day getting ready for a stamp class tonight. I will be heading over to our Recreation Center in a couple of hours to teach card making to our local Garden Club. It is going to be a fun night!
I will post those cards later this week. I wanted to show you another project we created at our Winter Wonderlude~
This is just the most adorable chalkboard…
Too cute right?
It was created using one Heart from the On Board Heart Book on page #34 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.
These are On Board Books have so many uses. I am going to show you tons of ways to use them!
We traced and cut out the heart from the new Definitely Decorative Chalk Board sheets for the Big Shot – Item #118815 – $14.95 (2 sheets: 14-1/2x 24). Adhere it to you heart shaped chip board with a glue stick.
The Chalk is attached by ribbon to the smaller Butterfly on the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (#114507- $21.95). The butterfly was cut out using the scrap chip board from the heart and then I also cut one out of Bermuda Bay card stock (In Color) which matches the ribbon used to hang it.
Use your glue stick to attach the card stock to the chip board butterfly and stamp your image on using Basic Black. Punch holes into you butterfly with your Crop-a-dile and attach you chalk with a piece of Basic Black grosgrain ribbon to your heart chalk board. Tie ribbon through one hole in heart and knot in the back of the heart.
Punch 2 holes for the Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon and attach and know in front. That way the heart chalk board will hang flat ~ making it easy to write on!
Hope you enjoyed this project!
