Eastern Blooms ~
I was able to sit and play with my new Stampin' Up! stamp set – Eastern Blooms (pg #116262 – $21.95US) this week. This stamp set is so versatile ~ there are 5 stamps in the set and you can order the matching Floral Frenzy Classy Brass Template (pg#191 – $15.9US).
I challenged myself to use the stamp set to make at least 5 cards. What fun I had. I love floral sets because you can use them for just about any occasion you can think of.
This card I decided to only use black and white. I used the Birthday Wishes for this card but you could really have used this card for any occasion.
I liked the way it turned out BUT I was thinking – "what if I added a punch of color behind the 2 flowers that I have punched out with the circle punch?" I would use an inked dauber and added a second color to the flower. I guess I will have to try that. Stay tuned for that version ~
This is such a sweet, soft card. Even with the black mounting it really is a feminine card. I was happy with the way this card turned out.
Keeping with the pink color scheme – I decided to go simple with this next one. It was quick and easy and I was very pleased with it Very different from the other two.
This card was also a quick and easy one to do. Your cards don't have to be elobrate. They can be very simple and still be beautiful cards.
I love the different color flowers on theis card. The 3 flowers come on one stamp and I just used my SU markers (brush tip) to color each one and then lightly breathe on the stamp before pressing to the card stock.
I thnk a set of these cards with different sentiments would make a great gift!
This card is so pretty. I just love all the layers and textures that the embellishments give it. I used the Trio Flower punch (pg#188 – $15.95US), Photo Corners punch (pg#188 – $15.95US), Gold Brads (pg#185 – $6.95US), Black gingham ribbon (pg#187 – $7.50US), & Designer Series Paper to match.
I didn't stamp a sentiment on the front so that I could use it for any occasion.
This card looks like there is a lot to it but it just has the largest flower in the set stamped 3 times in Baja Breeze and punched out using the 1-1/4" square punch and then I punched the block out with the 1-3/8" square punch and layered them on top of a piece of coordinating Designer Series Paper and layered that on Basic Black Card Stock. I added two bows of Black Gingham ribbon to accent it – I liked how that came out.
The base of the card is layered in Basic Black card stock and Designer Series Paper with the Birthday Sentiment stamped on the bottom right.
I just used this one stamp set and got '6' totally different looking cards. And that is not all you can do with it ~ the designs you can create are endless. And you don't have to limit yourself to cards, try scrapbook pages, 3-D items – like altering notebooks, boxes, gift bags.
Stay tuned to see what else I can create with this stamp set!
