Where do I begin? First let me say that I do not know how to get the trademark symbol for the EZ Mounts. I will change that as soon as Mark gets home and explains to me how to use it.
A lot of people have been asking me about the EZ Mount(TM) Stamp N’ Stor System that I have been raving about. It is a wonderful way to store your Red Rubber stamps ~ especially if you don’t have a lot of storage space. This first picture is a sheet of the thin EZ Mount(TM). If you have never heard of EZ Mount (TM) before check out Sunday International’s website.
EZ Mount (TM) is a premium static cling mounting system.
I have only been a SU Demo for a 2 1/2 years but I have been buying SU stamps since 1998! They do have a way of accumulating! I generally purchase stamp sets I love and even though SU retires sets every year – I don’t get rid of mine. Unless I don’t think I will use it in the future. Any hoot ~ you can just image the space these stamps were taking up.
Well I have been trying to figure out what I am going to do as my inventory of red rubber stamp sets grows and my stamp space doesn’t. When it hit me like a rock. I am in love with Posh Limited stamp sets designed by Dee Gruenig. I have a ton of these sets and they are all mounted on EZ Mount (TM). You get a whole set of stamps that come on a pure white storage board. The boards have the colorful stamped images printed on one side and the red rubber stamps on superb quality cushion on the other side.
I can unmount my SU sets that have retired and I don’t use for demos anymore and mount them on this thin EZ Mount cushion. I use the thin sheet of EZ mount because my SU stamps have a gray cushion already on them and adding another think cushion would be too much.
Check this photo out. These are SU stamps that I have unmounted from the wood and adhered to the thin EZ Mount.
How did I do that?
I took the stamp on the wood block and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds. Now I know all microwaves are different so you will have to test yours out as to how long to put it in for. Start with 5 seconds and go from there. I just have a start button on my microwave so I put it in set the time and hit start!
That is enough to soften the glue up and the stamp just peels off the block.
See the photo below. Now it is ready to be put on the thin EZ mount sheet. Just peel back the top sheet on the EZ mount (the side with all the writing on it). This will expose a black sticky surface.
Put your stamp on that black sticky side and you are ready to cut the stamp out. I use the Hot Knife to cut it out once I have it on the EZ Mount sheet.
I will generally fill up a whole EZ Mount sheet with stamps then cut them out. Check you the photos below.
This is the stamp on the sticky side – again I would fill this sheet up with stamps then cut them all out.
You want to cut as close to the stamp as you can.
Try to cut straight as you would when you cut out your SU stamps to mount them on wood.
Once the stamp is cut out you peel back the flip side and expose the premium cling. That will hold in onto your acrylic block.
Not only did I order the thin EZ Mount from Sunday International I also ordered the pure white boards and the Hot Knife. Sunday stamps back right? WRONG. Once I International has great Customer Service and offers Great Rewards ~ If you sign up for a $10 fee you get 10% on all your orders forever! Thats a long time! I Love discounts.
Did I mention that EZ Mount is also guaranteed for LIFE. Yes you heard me right – for life. What do you have to lose?
This is a picture of the first set I did this way. Note that I applied the clear cling stickers SU supply us with onto the white board. I thought this is great now I know where to put the put the stamps on the cling – I could not get them off. See all that black stuff on the pocket image? I got it off but pulled off a lot of the cushion. EEK!
I had to peel all the cling stickers and stamped the board with stazon of each image. Below you can see the image a little peeking out under the one of the stamps. I let the title of the stamp set on the board.
There are tabs on the boards so you can index your stamps. You can also fit
many stamp sets on a single board. I have put stamps on both sides.
Sunday International sells all kind of stamps and supplies. They have these boards in folder form. Acrylic blocks and acrylic holders to hold these boards instead of notebooks.
Check them out. If you call – they are wonderful on the telephone. Tell Gary (the owner) or whoever answers I sent you! They are all wonderful people very helpful and always cheery!
If you have any questions just email me and I will be glad to help you out and answer any questions you may have or point you in the right direction if I don’t know the answer.

Great idea for going unmounted. I’m not ready to convert just yet, but I already have sets that come this way.
Your blog looks great, by the way! Keep up the great work! 😉
