Wishing you all a life full of love~
I worked all morning yesterday (well not the entire morning) creating these treats for Matt and Sam. I found the idea on Shelli's Blog. Shelli is the founder of Stampin' Up! and a she has her own blog. She is a very talented lady and such a sweetheart. I have met Shelli at a few different SU Events – she is so accessible and loves meeting and chatting with SU demos.
Well back to my Valentine Project. I just fell in love with this Scrapbook box when I saw it.
The box opens up to a 6 x 6 scrapbook page. You could make it any size by changing the box size. It is super easy to create.
I wanted to use nontraditional colors for this project. The Baja Breeze/Not Quite Navy one is Matt's and the Pink Pirouette/Close to Cocoa one is Samantha's.
Above is a view of the bottom so you can see how the ribbon was adhered. I used a piece of sticky strip to adhere it to the bottom only.
To open just pull the bead up on the ribbon and lift the lid.
The box will open to reveal a 6 x 6 scrapbook page. I used Matt's Senior picture taken this year for the center focal point. In the four corners I used the new Full Heart Punch to create journaling space were my Husband and & jotted down some of the things we love about Matt. I stamped words from the Fundamental Phases and Short & Sweet stamp sets. I also used the Heart to Heart Punch to add color and hearts to the box/page.
Here's a picture of Samantha's Box/Page.
I really love the way they turned out. They can keep them closed in their room for now and eventually I can add them to their scrapbooks I am creating. I will incorporate it onto a 12 x 12 layout.
