It has been an incredibly hard week. My daughter has to have her thyroid removed. We saw the surgeon on Friday and he was just great with Samantha. We are confident he was the right choice for us.
I have to thank God for his strength and comfort through this week – without which I would not have gotten through it. I know that he loves Samantha and is helping her find the strength to get through this. She is definitely an example to all of us of Grace under pressure.
I have been trying to use stamping as my therapy this week. I have to say it is very hard to actually concentrate on anything. But I have my moments when I can get some things done.
I have been working on some holiday presents. These are a couple of the frames I have completed.
I picked these wood frames up at Michaels for $1.
I covered them with Stampin’ Up! Designer Series paper that is on sale this month so that worked out great for me. I just ordered a few more packs so that I can make a bunch of these. They will be great for Holiday gifts, birthday gifts, teachers gifts, even a thank you gift. I just love the way they turned out.
I cut window sheets to fit into the photo whole to protect the pictures because the frames didn’t come with any glass in them. The clear sheets worked great. I got them at our local office supply store.
I used the Stampin’ Up! glue stick to adhere the paper on the frame. It worked great. I tied coordinating ribbon on both. To the Certainly Celery frame I used a n On Board Accent flower. I colored it directly with a classic ink pad and then applied crystal effects to it and dipped it into Micro Beads. I love the way it turned out.
I think I may add a few more On Board Accent flowers to this frame. I haven’t decided yet – but I don’t think one is enough. What you do you think? Should I add a few more.
These frames were fun to make and took no time at all. Try one – I would love to see your version.

The frames are lovely Annette!
And what a blessing it is to hear about God bring you comfort during your time of need. I’m sure He’s saying “Well Done my child”.
Hang in there!

Annette,
Praise God that stamping has been good therapy for you and has helped you through these days.
I do love these frames. They are beautiful and lovely gifts. I’d like some for myself after I get settled in. Have a new pic of the greatgrandsons coming and just thinking about making myself a frame. 🙂
