Hi Everyone,
Happy Monday to you. As I sit here today woking on my blog posts it is pouring rain outside! I am sure the ducks are just loving this weather. As for me – I am dreading having to go run my errands in a bit. I would much prefer to sit in my stamp room and create all day!
As promised I have the first card from our Stamp Class on Friday. We made 4 beautiful cards.
The first one I am posting today is a card I have wanted to try for some time. I would call it a 'fun fold' card. Not a new design by any means but one I had not tried yet. I wonder if I am the only one that hasn't tried it yet? As it turned out no one in my class as tried it yet either so we had fun creating.

I have also created a few other variations (once I made one I had could not stop) – some I will be posting on my Facebook Page: Ink, Paper, Scissors…ROCK!

Our Criss Cross Card ~
The Criss Cross card creates a pocket to slip in an insert.
Now all the Criss Cross cards I have seen on the internet have a kind of postcard insert.
That is nice BUT when and if you write your message on the front of that insert you will see part of the message when you look at the card. You can choose to write you message on the back of the insert which would then take care of that problem. If I was doing this I would then stamp something on the front of the insert that coordinated with the card.
What I decided to do with our card for the class was to create full card for the insert. We adhered matching Designer Series Paper to the front.
Check the card insert out in the photo below.
We stamped our sentiment and punched it out, added Rhinestone Jewels, and adhered that to the lower right corner.
We embellished the front of the card with some layered punches, a sentiment, & one of the new gorgeous buttons from the Occasions Mini Catalog.
I just love those buttons.

Have you tried these cards yet !
Happy Stamping ~
