Hi Everyone ~
I am sorry I didn't get to post my project last night. Mark had just gotten home from work and I wanted to hear how he made out traveling in the snow. I think all in all we got over 15" of snow!
It was so pretty yesterday and today while it was snowing. And now the sun keeps popping out and melting everything just a little.
Samantha and I had a chance to get outside today and build a snowman. Although I think you will agree it is a snow ~ woman!
The snow was great for packing and rolling a snowman/woman today. It only took us about 20 minutes ~ start to finish!
Enough about that pretty white stuff we got today and on to one of the projects we made last weekend at our Stampin' Family's Winter Wonderlude.
This was created using the Big Shot and the Flower Folds xl die (#115970).
I believe I used about 8 layers of flowers. After picking out your fabric you simply cut it to fit over the die and decided which flowers you want to have which fabric prints.
The big shot will take about 8 layers of fabric so I could have cut out enough flowers to make a few of these. But since it was my first I thought I would create one first and see what I thought.
Once the flowers were cut out I simply started layering them they way I wanted and then took a needle threaded with out linen thread and fastened the corduroy button on.
I flipped over the flower and sewed on a pin back (you can find these at your local craft or fabric store).
The flower was a little stiff looking for me. So I laid it on my table face up and took the point of my scissors (any kind would work) and just pulled at the petal ends. It frayed them a bit and gave it more of a vintage look.
Take a look at it on a sweater ~
How cute is that? I think it looks great on the sweater with the silk scarf. What do you think?
Leave me a comment I would love to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by today – hope you enjoyed this project.
Happy Stamping ~
Sue
I like your snow woman, although I am getting a little tired of all the white.
Tip on the Flower Folds Die – cutting more than 1 layer at a time causes the fold lines to turn into cut lines. Ask how I know this 🙁
Your flower looks great!

Kuddos to you my dear, I feel the same way, CASING is the highest form of flattery!!
